5 out of 5 stars Another Great Read January 24, 2022 I really enjoyed this book, as well as the others in a series by this author. She was my college professor back when I was in school and having moved away from the community, I really appreciate the references to the good ol days. I like to try to pick out which building or business is which as they’re not named with their real names. The deep personal character goings on between the main character and her paramour are really life. I appreciate it.
5 out of 5 stars A not so cozy mystery December 18, 2021 In Search of Sierra isn’t your typical cozy mystery. Yes, it’s not hardcore or graphic but it does pack a punch. Donelan has skillfully created a mystery with the plot twists and turns of a thriller. She not only understands the ins and outs of an investigation, but also of her characters. One of the reasons this book is a little weightier than the usual cozy mystery is because Donelan takes on some heavy social issues. A missing young woman, a stalker, the pack like mentality and power of a “mean girls,” group to name a few. For those of you who read Donelan for her wit and humor, don’t worry, this story has plenty.
